She is Gouthami, not only yesteryear’s gorgeous actress of South Indian film industry but the sexy siren and also the lustrous heartthrob of myriad lads.
She will be in the lead role of Abirami, the television serial produced by Abirami Mega Mall for Kalaignar TV. It has been learnt that the serial, which will be telecast on Kalaignar TV from January next, will crack down on the social evils that the protagonist encounters in society by virtue of being a woman. Kutty Padmini happens to be the creative head of this venture that has been scripted by Kaalachakkaram Narasimha.
As per key persons attached with the production, unlike other mega serials, Abirami has been scripted with loads of research and will be fast paced and shot in outdoor locations.However the best appraisal came from Kamal Haasan, Tamil superstar, who was speaking at the launch of Abirami. He said, “It took time for people to understand that television and film industries can co-exist without facing competition from each other. Gone are the days when television was considered as a threat by film industry.”
”Both (television and film industry) share a brotherly relationship. Some actors perform in films and serials with ease, while some bid adieu to movies to act in television. But competition never existed between us,” he added.
Speaking on her role, Gouthami mentioned that the serial would be different from the rest as it is backed by a strong storyline. “Many veterans are part of the team I am sure ‘Abirami’ would have a positive impact on people,” she said.
