Winston Churchills World War II cigar discovered after 60 years

London, Nov 21 : Winston Churchills cigar smoked by him at the 1943 Casablanca conference has become a part of the BBCs Antiques Roadshow.

The 33-year-old Christian Williams from Horncastle, Lincs, inherited the half-smoked cigar from his soldier grandfather Ronald, who acted as butler at the World War II conference.

The cigar is still kept in its wooden box and Christian was told it could easily fetch him up to 800 pounds.

However, Christian doesnt want to sell it off to a private collector.

I would only ever sell it to a museum. Its a 20th century icon. Its too important to be shut away in a private collection, the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
