Will Google's Chrome OS gain success?
It has come to the knowledge from highly placed sources that Google's Chrome OS project is going to be available for download before long and has the sufficient competence to ameliorate the existing scenario. It is to be noted that Chrome OS project of Google was announced for the first time in the month of July and the company also said in the past to expect an early version of the OS in the fall.
Even though much is not known thus far, it seems that driver support will be a weak point. It may be not you but many people have already heard (from time to time) that Google has a band of engineers working on the less glamorous job of building hardware drivers. It has also been found at times that Google, as a rule, is depending on hardware manufacturers so as to forge those drivers. All these indicate that the presence of a robust set of functioning drivers can confirm success of Chrome OS only. There is no doubt that people will wish for to download this to whatever computer they use and have it just work.
Hence, people are expecting that Google will remain vigilant with messaging al over the launch, and approve a small set of devices for installation. Take for instance EEE PC netbooks. It may be one set of devices that Google will say are prepared to use Chrome OS. There will likely be others also. But if you expect that you would be able to install it on whatever laptop or desktop machine you have from day one, you are simply erroneous. Google Inc. is an American public corporation, earning revenue from advertising related to its Internet search, e-mail, online mapping, office productivity, social networking, and video sharing services as well as selling advertising-free versions of the same technologies and has also developed an open source web browser and a mobile operating system. The company, if truth be told, is running thousands of servers worldwide, which process millions of search requests each day and about 1 petabyte of user-generated data every hour.
