Kamal Haasan, we want more
What is the true identity of Kamal Haasan? Is he simply an actor or script writer or also a filmmaker? Well, there can’t be any precise answer to this since he is found at times in different roles and hence, the world considers him as one of the leading method actors of Indian cinema. He has been in the cinema industry of South India for decades and especially in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka he, in spite of being a Tamil star, has become a cult figure by now. Ooooooops. We have missed Superstar Rajinikanth. He is certainly an exception.
Kamal’s feats have been witnessed in the Hindi cinema industry or Bollywood also. Can anyone forget his experimentations in the film “Hey Ram”? The film dealt with the changing aspects of India in and around Partition and along with it the gradual transformation of Saket Ram, the main protagonist of the film, played by one and only Kamala Haasan. Even though the film failed to have an overwhelming success in the box office, his performance was exceedingly lauded. This is Kamal Haasan, ever ready to up date himself and who has certainly not tired of experimenting even after decades of his entry into cinema.
Let’s have some more info. In Universal Hero's recent film Eenadu (Unnaipol Oruvan in Tamil) Kamal is perceived to play a common man livid at the occurrence of terrorism and through own performance, he is found to add an intellectual dimension to Naseeruddin Shah's original version. There is simply no doubt as the new generation stars in Kollywood - Vijay, Ajith, Vikram and Suriya, go on to make their head way, the everlasting charm of Kamal still holds the imagination of cinegoers in Tamil Nadu.Who can forget his recent exploits in Dasavatharam? The movie saw great (perhaps the biggest) theatrical release throughout the Telugu state. He has reached the 55th year of age but is still vigorous and pledge to work more. We want him thus only.
