Cheapest phone from Nokia surfaces
There seems to be no end to the saga of innovations of Nokia and at the moment, the globally acclaimed company is concentrating on the development of new low-end products. There is hardly any doubt that this is its conventional monopoly in the majority of the rising markets of the world. However this is also not any new endeavor from Nokia since even in the past it used to launch a range of new handsets targeted at the low-end spectrum.
What has been the latest offer of Nokia then? Well, Nokia does abide by the same tradition and has annunciated five new low-end handsets destined to go on sale before long in these markets. The new devices announced include the Nokia 1280, 1616, 1800, 2220 slide and the Nokia 2690.
Well, among these, albeit each device is exclusive, Nokia 1280 deserves special mention. One of the most exciting traits of Nokia 1280 is that it is the most budget handset ever from the company and is likely to cost in the region of $30. It should be noted that the phone runs on S30 UI, and also does contain a 96 x 68 pixels monochrome display, GSM-only connectivity, flashlight, alarm, calendar, MP3 ringtones, FM radio. The phone comes equipped with a 3.5mm headset jack in addition. Can there be any problem? Well there is no such but the absence of a headset can pose problems for you. In that case, you have to pay money for a headset separately. But surely you can have changeable covers that accompany each Nokia 1280 and the phone is both dust and scratch resistant. Nokia's Life Tools program, which is already active in India can be found in this device easily. The phone will be priced at around the $30 (Rs.1,400) mark.
