There seems to be no end to the praises showered on Google, globally acclaimed internet search giant, and this is certainly not without reason. The internationally renowned company has added new feathers to its colorful crown since, in accordance with two surveys, it has become the most preferred company for business and engineering graduates and all these indicate Google is the 'most attractive employer' in the global arena.

The surveys were conducted and also compiled under the aegis of Universum, noteworthy global employer branding firm, and as per it, Google has been ranked number 1 in the list of top 50 global businesses and engineering companies. What did the two surveys put forward? The surveys said, "Google's number one position is no surprise. Due to its remarkable brand image, students worldwide see it as a company they would like to work for."

The global rankings, which are based on a survey of 120,000 students, draws attention to the world's most potent employer brands and those companies that are 'the most successful in talent attraction and retention'. It is to be noted that students from the United States, Japan, China, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Russia, Spain, Canada and India's top academic institutions took part in the survey. What are the other results then?

As stated by surveys, while soft drink major Coca-Cola is in the 13th position, Citigroup has found the 21st place for itself among the list for business students. On the other hand, even though Oracle and Philip Morris make it to the top 50 for business students, engineering students seem to be apathetic. GlaxoSmithKline and Alcatel-Lucent appear in the engineering ranking, yet not in the business ranking.
