Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai bury the hatchet

In his chat show, Karan Johar has started a war or two between celebs. But at his birthday party recently, the producer-director succeeded in brokering a truce between some warring factions of tinsel town.

On Monday night at the party, Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai ended the feud that began in 2003 when he threw her out of Chalte Chalte after her then boyfriend Salman Khan created a ruckus on the sets of the film.

Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai bury the hatchetOver the years, things soured further between the two top stars, who had earlier done films like Josh and Mohabbatein together.

Aishwarya didn’t invite Shah Rukh to her wedding with Abhishek Bachchan, partly because of her own anger with him and partly due to the cold war between him and her pa-in-law Amitabh.

King Khan didn’t make any efforts to reach out to her either. In fact, he reportedly made some nasty comments about her to get back at Salman at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party last year, sparking off another big war in Bollywood.

At Karan’s bash, however, he seemed to have decided to patch up with Ash and even apologised to her for the things he’d said and done. A source said the two got talking and within just a few minutes, Shah Rukh said to her, “I owe you an apology because in some ways I have wronged you.”

Aishwarya readily accepted his apology and along with husband Abhishek, proceeded to hang around with him and wife Gauri the rest of the evening. Sources also suggested that the foursome headed for Shah Rukh’s bungalow Mannat after Karan’s party was over to catch up on lost time.

Another patch-up at the party is reported to have been between Abhishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor. The Bachchans and the Kapoors had fallen out when Abhishek’s love affair with Kareena’s sister Karisma ended. The two stars reportedly refused to do films together and the Bachchan and Kapoor families were also involved in a cold war. Now that they have made peace, expect to see Refugee co-stars Abhishek and Kareena together on the big screen once again.

I think that was manly of Shahruhk to apologised ....and for Salman to stand up for her what guts he has and to show he still cares for the pass women in his life ...and yeah the past should not have come up Shahruhk to spite Salman ...Well if Shahruhk had his wife acting I'm sure he would of been overly protective, done the same....No matter if you hate a person don't insult them in front of their new love and now Salman is headed for splitzsville and Katrina should of stood by Salman..I love both actors they are wonderful...
