The Mumbai Police are ready to prevent another 26/11 type scenario. They have upgraded to sophisticated weapons and have a quick response team.
Speed boats have been deployed in the sea. You will find beat marshals on motorcycles manning the streets. New bullet proof vest and vans have been introduced.
Do you really think that Mumbai can prevent another terrorist attack?

media should have played a better role
i think media should not have live telecasted the tragic event. it made difficult for the police as their movements were being captured making it easy for the terrorists. media coverage of all these cases should be bannd

Kasab Alive too costly..
When the whole world have seen kasab live what is the need of trial, and now kasab is saying he is innocent.
So much money wasted to keep this terrorist alive. It would have been better if that money would have been spent to strengthen the police forces and internal security.
We Indian don't deserve freedom.

Prevent another 26/11 type scenario
Local police force such as constables,inspectors,S.D.O.'s etc.should be well trained to eliminate the possibilities related to this type of incidents.

Minority appeasement
All relations with Pakistan should be cut off. The whole world knows what is going on in Pakistan today.
It would be better to shut all connections. Cut off Sam Samjhauta Express train to Pak, bus service to Lahore, stop issuing visas to Pakistani and also not allow Indians to go to Pakistan.
If only can our government sideline minority appeasement and vote bank politics, and give more importance to national security.

Does not make a difference
The question that needs to be asked is how many of the new recruits have good rifles, guns and most importantly do they regularly do shooting practice?
Adding some few new types of equipment here and there will hardly make any difference.
Regarding the speed boats they were into news a few days back. There is the speed boat but no money to buy Gas, what is the use?
The corrupt government officials were equally responsible for so many lives that were lost. Right from the defective bullet proof ( or call it stone proof) vest to mis-communication between police and control center.
And not to forget the logistical support from the Home minister Shivraj patil who provided in dept details on the number of commandos and the time they will take to reach Mumbai.
The media also provided live information to the public and in turn to the terrorist.
