Sony recalling Vaio laptops that are too hot to handle
Sony Corp is in the process of recalling its Vaio laptops which seems to have some temperature control problems that may result in the laptop overheating and if in contact may even burn the human skin.
Vaio users relax though Sony has claimed that the defect may cause overheating but so far there have been no cases recorded about any injuries but there are some complains about laptop shape getting distorted cause of the heat. It is just a precautionary measure and users need not worry much.
An estimated half a million Vaio laptops may be recalled. According to Sony in the U.S. alone about 259k laptops will be recalled, in Europe about 103k, 52k from Japan and in Asia about 120K laptops are in the recall list.

Some of the C-Series and F-Series laptops in the Vaio family sold from January are in the affected list. The company however revealed that earning will not have an impact because of the recall.
According to Sony, laptops that are subject to recall can be fix by simply downloading a program (BIOS firmware update) from the Vaio update system or users can get in touch with customers care who will pick up and get the repairs done.
To check if you laptop is in the recall list, note down your laptop’s serial number found at rear or bottom of your machine then check the serial number here

If your laptop is in the recall list simply get the BIOS firmware update done and cool off.
