Now Nimbuzz has entered the domain of Android and with its recent initiatives has made the users of Android technology gloat. The well-known Dutch multi-community mobile social messaging, presence and VoIP provider has brought to the fore a new multi community mobile social messenger application, it is designed solely for Android handsets.

What does the new-fangled application offer therefore? It does offer, leveraging on the benefits of the Android technology, an assortment of multiple messaging tools including Skype, MSM, Yahoo, ICQ, Google Talk, and many more in a single interface.

It was founded in 2006 by Evert Jaap Lugt and Martin Smink and has received two rounds of venture capital funding till now.

Speaking on the introduction of new multi community mobile social messenger application, Evert-Jaap Lugt, who is also the existing CEO of Nimbuzz, said, “Mobiles are no longer just about hardware but software. Our Android version is a perfect example of what we do best, integrating Nimbuzz’s award winning service to bring the best out of each operating system and handset.”

It has also been learnt that Android users can open their contacts profile with a fast-click and a live chat window with a long-click. What’s more, the application offers an auto-reconnect feature that assures seamless connectivity, by instantly reconnecting whenever a connection is lost.

In addition the Android application supports many local social networks like StudiVZ, Gadu Gadu, Giovani, and Hyves (dominant in the Netherlands) and a nifty time-sensitive user interface which detects how long a user presses on a contact, said the company.
