Firefox 3.6.4 Beta available for download

Firefox users can try their hand on the latest beta version of the Firefox 3.6 tree. Firefox 3.6.4 can now be downloaded which is still in the beta phase for testing purpose and will transform into a full-fledged release soon.

Faulty plug-ins often causes the Firefox browser to crash. To counter this Firefox developers have come up with a new technology called the Lorentz which prevents browser from crashing caused by faulty plug-ins.

Firefox 3.6.4 Beta available for downloadIt is the first time that the Lorentz technology has been directly integrated into the release tree 3.6. Users can download the beta version and see how the technology works.

Lorentz technology seem to solve the problem by creating a dedicated sandbox environment for each plug-in and in case a plug-in wobbles up the browser continues to run. This really helps for users who have multiple tap windows opened and they will not have to re-start the browser and load the tabs again.

Lorentz technology is currently available only for the Linux and the Windows Operating system, Mac users will have to wait.
