Chicken lays bowling-pin shaped egg in China
75 years old Chinese farmer Zhang Yunfeng from the northern China's Hebei Province, was puzzled when one of his hen laid a weird shaped egg that resembled a bowling-pin shape. Generally the eggs are oval shape with one end pointed and the other rounded.
According to Zhang he had never seen such a weird shaped egg. In fact this is not the first time such extra ordinarily shaped egg has been laid. Last year in the month of March Natalie Wiltshire a 43 years old mother of three from Northamptonshire had reported a similar matter; her chicken laid weird shaped egg that looked like a bowling-pin.
According to experts the shape of the egg depends on several factors such as the age, health and size of the chicken. Hormonal imbalances, kind of food intake and Ovulation problems can lead to weird shaped eggs.
