Stave off heart disease and diabetes, eat chillies
That’s right; a study conducted at the University Of Tasmania School Of Life Science has revealed that heart diseases and diabetes can be prevented by simply eating hot chillies daily.
Chillies, especially red chillies are used in Indian food to add that special flavour, for now they are not only hot but healthy. According to lead researcher Dr. Kiran Ahuja the results of the study is promising and aspirin one day might get replaced by chillies.
Chillies contain ingredients dihydrocapsaicin and capsaicin, both these ingredients are known to lower the insulin levels, lower blood glucose and prevent blood clots by reducing the formation of fatty deposits.
High levels of Insulin and glucose increases the risk of diabetes and cardiovascular complications. Eating chillies reduces the insulin and post meal glucose concentration thereby reducing the risk for development of diabetes, without any side effects.
Chillies are good for health, eat it as is or include them in your meals.
