Pregnancy: Frequent Urination problems
Many pregnant women get worried when they suddenly experience frequent urination during pregnancy. Frequent urination can happen anywhere from 6th to 8th weeks of the pregnancy period.
Mother to be, need not worry, frequent urination is a common problem. The reason why pregnant women pee more often is because of increased blood volume which makes the kidney work harder and increases the urge of urinating.
Another reason is that there is more pressure on the bladder because of increased uterus size. Even when the bladder is not full pregnant women often feel the need to pee.
Some women may experience frequent urination problem throughout their pregnancy.
Many pregnant women think that consuming less liquid would reduce their visit to the bathroom. However doctor’s advice pregnant women to drink a lot of fluids and keep hydrated. Consult your doctor for any problem even if it’s a minor one.
Frequent urination is a common side effect of pregnancy. But if you experience burning sensation or pain while urinating, it is advisable to consult your gynecologist immediately. It may be cause of urinary tract infection which if left untreated may cause serious kidney problems.
Even during the 7th month of pregnancy some women may experience frequent urination problems. In most cases the baby will be in the head down position and they start struggling down into pelvis this may cause the need to urinate frequently.
Women’s body go through several changes during pregnancy, some may be common and some unique. But if you have even the slightest doubts get an appointment with your doctor immediately.
