India has a huge mobile consumer base with most urban areas already saturated companies are now trying to increase their mobile phone subscription by targeting consumers from the rural area. Spice Telecom in India has introduced the Sabka spice that offers spice connection along with the S-300 handset for just Rs. 599.

The handsets are designed specially for the rural consumers. They weight 75 grams and have simple easy to use features. Punjab and Karnataka being the biggest Spice Telecom markets in India, the phone features an audio interface system available in both languages Kannada and Punjabi.

The handset carries a 3 years warranty and both post-paid and prepaid connection options are available from Spice. The prepaid connection offers rates at 50 paisa per call, zero rental and validity for 1 year. The post-paid connection offers call rates (Spice to Spice local) at 10 paise per minute and 75 paise from spice to other local number. For post-paid connection there is a fixed charge of Rs. 35 per month.

The main highlight is the intelligent audio interface system that gives audio alerts especially useful for consumers who cannot read. Any mobile charger can be used to charge the S-300 handset. Spice claims that the handset has a 15 days backup on standby mode while the talk time is up to 3 hours.

This mobile offer termed “Sabka Mobile” is valid in Punjab and Karnataka for limited period. Economically weaker section from the rural areas can now have a mobile at affordable cost.
